Today I am not blogging a way to make money working from home, but how to get more traffic to your website for free. We all agree, I am sure, that in order to be able to monetize from your website, you need to get traffic to your website. As a website gets traffic, it becomes more visible by SEOs and is pushed up in ranking, so that web browser for a specific niche or service see your website before others and end up accessing your pages.
Traffup.net is a way to get more traffic to your website for free. In a way therefore, you will not spend money and through traffic you will generate your online income. But, what is Traffup.net?
My Rating: 4.8 out of 5
What is Traffup.net
Traffup.net is an online traffic exchange website. There are many websites of this kind and many fall in the category of the pay-per-click business, where you are encouraged to click on a website link in exchange of small monetary remuneration. Traffup is not that, as it does not pay you. But what Traffup does is give you points, which you can then use to encourage other users to click on your website in return of your visiting theirs.
How does it work
There are very few and easy steps to follow in order to start attracting traffic.
In first instance you must register as user of the website. You will be asked for your name and to create a password. Traffup makes use of captcha words and images at every stage of its process, in order to verify that it’s dealing with a person rather than a robot. So, both at the stage of creating an account, and every time that you log in, Traffup will ask to confirm that you are a person by re-typing a ‘captcha’ word it suggests to you.
And the game is done. Once you have created an account, you can start clicking on random websites which are proposed to you.
I have created a small video, which shows you step by step how quick and easy to use Traffup.net is:
As you can see, you put together points, which you then give back to other users every time they access your website.
Social exchange too
As I mention in the above video, Traffup is not designed to increase traffic
on your website solely. It can help attract traffic to your Twitter or YouTube an Instagram accounts, and to your Facebook pages.
The principle it works on is exactly the same. In the case of YouTube, you gain points by subscribing to YouTube accounts. You then spend those points every time that a Traffup member subscribes to your YouTube account.
Yes, you read it correctly. Using Traffup is completely FREE OF CHARGE! This means that there isn’t a membership fee at all, unlike with many other competitors on the market which sell traffic leads to your website for a fee of course.
Yes, it’s true, Traffup proposes a Traffup PRO package, which offers you additional points at a different cost depending on how long you want to remain pro. Being pro offers also the additional bonus of having your website link pushed at the top of the listing, and the fact that you are shown double the amount of website links to open and earn double points.
I am not disputing the true value of being a Pro member on Traffup, but personally I have never purchased any points package, hence I have never been a Pro. I have never needed to spend extra money when I could gain traffic for free.
How Traffup survives in spite of free membership
Well, one of Traffup revenues is in fact through the Pro membership. However I believe that the highest source of income for Traffup is through advertisements. As a website or business owner, you can ‘hire’ ad space on Traffup, where your own banner will be displayed for a number of days.
This is certainly another fruitful way to attract traffic to your website and to increase your business. I have never enquired with Traffup directly regarding this way of marketing my business, as it is not something that interests me – or not yet, at least. However I expect, like with all means of purchasing ad space on any website or search engine, you need to work out whether the expense is financially viable to your purse.
Not everyone likes Traffup
Some question the validity of Traffup based on two main concerns.
The first argument used against Traffup is that it will not attract anyone who is genuinely interested in purchasing your services from your website. What they say is that everyone clicking on your website or Instagram account, or on any other of your accounts through Traffup is there for the same purpose as you: gain traffic.
I argue, that’s exactly what Traffup should be for, and nothing else! By gaining you traffic, your website will get ranked higher in SEO rankings, and then will be seen more prominently by those visitors who are browsing the website for the specific niche you are tackling. Those visitors, and not the Traffup users, are the ones who are going to access your website to gain information and to obtain the true help they need.
The second concern regards the fact that Traffup is seen as time-consuming for website authors who need to boost traffic to their website. I have read there are other automated ‘bot’ systems on the market, which will attract traffic for your website automatically. This means you do not have to sit there and manually access individual websites or social media accounts, and wait the fifteen seconds before being able to click on the correct captcha image and get your points assigned.
I agree, this may sound time-consuming. In reality though, search engines are sensitive to robot performed automated website visits. This packages are sold to you, and they will end up penalizing your website by the very fact that the traffic is intercepted by SEO as fake.
But Traffup gives you more…
Yes, you got it. Traffup has an affiliate program. Again, it does not pay you money, but rewards you in points.
Traffup referral program works on three levels, where not only you earn 100 points for every person that signs up introduced by you, but you also earn on their point purchases. The same earning scheme works then on two more levels up on referrals and purchases made by people that were introduced by your referral, and by your referral’s referral.
To better understand, check out the below chart directly from Traffup website:
What do I think of Traffup? Well, I definitely approve of Traffup, and wish there were more websites offering the same service for free like Traffup.
Yes, admittedly it can take time to gather a bunch of points, and these are then used up quite quickly by other users clicking on your website links or on your social media account. But, given the mechanical exercise, sometime, I’ll admit, I have a bit of Traffup session while watching telly or in between browsing on other sites.
Traffup does not necessarily require a computer to function. I am not sure how well it works on a smartphone, but it surely works perfectly well on tablets.
The main thing, however, is that it does work, indirectly, in attracting traffic. Through the captcha system of having to verify your login details with a captcha word, or having to match a captcha picture, the traffic members generate to your website or to your social media accounts or YouTube is read as organic, and not robot generated.
The only restriction I can see to Traffup is that users are allowed to add up to ten links from their websites. This can become limiting when you start building up a lot of content for our websites. In this case, the only solution is to rotate the links of each individual article to push them through the traffic gathering system in turn.
The one thing I can guarantee, however, is that whenever I use Traffup, I then notice traffic increases on my websites (and you can check this by registering your websites on Google Search Console) and so does my income!
I hope you shall give Traffup a go and put it to the test to see if it suits your needs as a home based business owner – yes, because that’s what you are, and you can carry that title with pride! I would like to hear from you to find out what you think of it, and whether you think it’s a waste of time or in fact it does work. By all means, do leave your comment and I shall answer each and every of you!!
